about

Dust is a plodding, humble tribute to those who experienced the dust bowl in the Great Plains of 1930's America, and a reminder of this dark, yet hopeful, period in American history, ever more relevant in our modern times of climate change and migration crises.

Eschewing grandiosity, Dust focuses on lumbering textures inspired by what it might have been like to experience endless dust storms slowly rolling across the plains, with periods of suffocating density punctuated by moments of clarity. A sense of despair permeated the people of the plains, and yet, there always remained a profound sense of hopefulness.

All sounds were sourced entirely from a telecaster guitar, then manipulated using various computer programs.
